The pearls are just the best for the money. I bought mine barely used for $350. Best set for the money IMO
thanks for that advice. i'll take your word for it and stay away from the pacific. i really don't feel too comfortable w/ the gretsch either.

My old drum instructor had a really nice and expensive Sonor kit that sounded great, but don't know how there lowend kids cost, I'd imagine they are decent. I recommend the stage custom.
the stage custom was a little more than i wanted spend. i will also take your word and stay away from tama.

now that i've seen it and researched it, i'm liking the pearl export. right around my price range and i haven't heard anything but good about them.

    now.....i've gotta decide on color
buuut, i've got it narrowed between the jet black w/ black hardware, or red wine w/ black hardware.

i've also gotta figure out where to sell mine

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves. 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Good choice, I would get the smaller toms, I believe they are 10", 12", and 14" inch toms. Here are my exports...although, they look way different now. That picture was taken about a year ago.
