PHOTOSHOPERS...can you help me design my tattoo?

I need some of you photoshopers to help me with my navy tat2

I found this pic from a tattoo forum and I was inspired, I love the "chrome" look. Here is where i need help. I don't want it to say "NAVY" I want it to say "USN"

the following posts will have the pics

thanks a lot guys, lets see what you come up with.

everyone else...go ahead and comment. This is either going on my right calf or my left inner forearm. The upper shoulder is a no no for me, there is not enough meet.

    thanks guys

Here is the primary peace, I'd like the final to be like this.
except where the letters N-A-V-Y are i just need U-S-N (in the same style)

here is an example of where the "USN" should go, and how the rope or chain would work with it

I'm not trying to give you crap here, but....

You should print out both of those and make an appointment with your artist to go over your particular wants and needs. That, and you don't want to get your heart set on a design, take it to your artist, and have them say they need to do it bigger to get that level of detail/it's going to cost a WHOLE lot more than you wanted.

This is an excellent way to flesh out if you've picked a good artist-- if they get whiny or rude about having to draw and redraw and redraw and redraw and stencil and restencil and check again and again and agin.... I wouldn't let them work on you. Impatient artists lead to bad tattoos. And, of course, GO OVER THEIR PORTFOLIOS! If they don't have post-healing shots of any of their work, be a little wary. Brand new tattoos can look great until they heal and the poor technique/design flaws that were hidden by redness/swelling/ "it's a new tattoo, It'll look fine" syndrome.

Talk to all of the other artists there, see what they think, look through their portfolios etc. Good artists will love that you want to be properly educated, and won't get annoyed that you're actually doing a little research before commitng.

The second tattoo you posted is...poorly done. Maybe that's the art style they were after...but misshapen links, a lumpy and asymmetrical anchor..smacks of an inattentive/unskilled artist.

The first one, however, is an excellent example of what good artists can do.

Of course, if this isn't your first tattoo, this is all old news and I'm just blabbing for no reason.
        Such a sham(e).

Hey. I highly recommend Tattoo Lou in Suffolk, New York.

Awesome work. I'm desperately trying to get Lou Sr. to do my son's piece himself.

                Welp...

Hrm...IM me and we'll talk. I could give it a crack, I'm a pretty good artist and I just got done designing my friends tattoo. It's a Maltese Cross sitting over a cross that's a blaze with axes going through the back of the maltese cross cross-bone style. There's an American Flag inside of the Maltese cross, too. It's detailed, to say the least. Just let me know, though.

                    Sure thing.

At the present moment you'll have to settle for a picture of it. I don't have a scanner so I'll take a picture of it n'stuff. It'll be up sometime tomorrow (today) before I head off to the spring dance.

P.S. My farts smell like the runs!
