Hey all,
I figure I'd show off my new little project
This morning I started to make my own stock for my Marlin .17HMR rimfire rifle...
I used two pieces of Pine which I laminated together, planed them into a 2.5" block and for a good 4 hours this morning, I used a plunge router to duplicate the action/ reciever slot...
I then ate lunch, and being the nerd that I am, I returned to my shop and kept working...
So far I've got the shape of the stock cut out, the action fitted, and the rifle fits in place without any form of shimming (
)...
anybody else do something like this without the proper tooling? (I'm just winging it with the basic woodworking tools that I have)

... but the rear portion of the stock is pretty much to its final rough shape
