    Star Wars TV Series?

There are pretty strong rumors floating around about an upcoming TV series to follow in the wake of Revenge of the Sith. The storyline would most likely follow Luke Skywalker's adventures in training new Jedi.
This link says that the series is confirmed for a fall 2006 premiere; however, I haven't been able to confirm any of this.
    Check it:

    WOW.

This is the first i've heard of this. I am a big fan of Kevin Smith, and I am sure he would do a tv series justice.

Still, Rick Berman's coments are interesting, considering the death of S.T. Enterprise. The bottom line with any Sci-Fi tv show is definately in the writting. If you have watched the new Battlestar Galactica, and compare that to Enterprise, you'll know what I mean.

Unlike Star Trek, I think there is still alot of Star Wars stories that can be told. Some of teh novels are as good if not better than what has been coming out of Lucas.

    Im excited.

I don't know. There is a lot of potential to screw everything up. I think they'd be better off in making movies out of some of the novels. And personally, I'm not a big fan of Kevin Smith.

Kevin Smith would be perfect for the show...... As would someone with a background like Rick Berman.

I'm not a fan of the Star Trek ventures but Berman brings up a good point. If the producers concentrate on plot, and not effects, then the TV show should be a smash--especially if it revolves around the Jedi. Mark Hamill is supposedly invovled in the project as well--to portray Luke.
            Very exciting times!

Rick Berman has been the death of all things Trek. The series have been going down hill ever since he took the helm, and now he's run the series into the ground. They guy behind Babylon 5 or the guy behind the new Battlestar Galatica would be a good choice.

                  oh god no!
i realize kevin smith is a very good star wars fan, but does anyone think he's going to go from making movies to making TV? most directors find that a severe demotion.

i predict it'll be a joke and end up on sci-fi channel right after stargate sg1 and right before battlestar galactica, man, sci fi will show any garbage
