New Scooter Need Advice

I am looking at picking up a new scooter. Dont know what I want except I want a new or newish one. I thought this looked interesting but the 49cc is a bit tiny Link

I'd go for the Aprilla too... the ruckus is cool looking but it is very limited in what you can do to it since its a 4 stroke. Good and reliable though. The Aprilla is 2 stroke and can be kitted and variators and such all improved easily. I think Piaggio (Vespa makers) now owns Aprilla.

Or for that matter any get any good 2 stoke. Such as Yamaha, TNG, Kimco or something like those.

Stay completely away from any Chinese made cheapo knock offs ... they crap. So is their service and support. And they break easily. No one will work on them either.

Best advice since your open minded and really wanting to learn and research before you decide... which I admire and agree with... is... go hear and talk to people that are into new automatics...

Thanks I was looking a bit and could not find any real good info on anything just the typical hype that all manufactures have. That link should help a ton. I dig the BBS I assume that stands for Bulletin Board System havent been to one of those in a REAL long time

well the name is a carry over from the old BBS type thing were it once existed. Its more a forum set up now. But its filled with people that know including shop owners and mechanics. Plus people that are into the technical side of upgrading and kitting. A lot of european people too. There is a wealth of information there.

i remember those days. I had my own Renegade BBS software running for the longest time.
