    Help with Nero 6

So I bought Nero 6... it doesn't work on my computer. Well it kind of works, Nero just kind of decides on its on when it wants to mess up. Be it during the encoding process or right in the middle of burning a DVD, it just likes to give me the "Burn Process Failed" note everytime. I have been trying to use Nero to make DVD's from my DV camcord with no luck, so far I have about 10 shiny coasters. I have also tried using DVD shrink + nero to backup DVD's I already own with little luck (maybe one in 7 works and plays on my DVD player)

Here is a short list of everything I've tried someone please tell me if there is anything else I can do:

Updated my DVD burner driver and firmware
Updated Nero to its latest version
Disabled McAfee virus scanner while I'm making DVD's
I have atleast 25 gigs free space for temp DVD files
I *think* I have completely uninstalled roxio, not really sure how to check
    I have defraged my HD
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Nero several times
I have disabled just about every program that could be running in the background and interfere with Nero

Any suggestions from the computer whiz-kids?

I use DVD shrink v 3.2 to make an image of the dvd. Then I use alcohol 120% to burn the image. Works everytime for me. If your dvd player only reads dvd+ make sure your burning dvd+ and vice versa.

Yeah I've only been using DVD+R's and so far I've made one succesful backup of a DVD movie using DVD shring + nero. It's a really hit and miss process that misses more often that it hits.

I am using Memorex DVD+R's and the DVD burner that came with my Dell. ND-110A DVD+RW if that means anything. It is a year or so old.

Change the cache in NERO and try burning a little bit slower... There is a slight chance that you computer's HD cannot keep up with the Burner....

if your getting that many errors it might not be your burner.

try using a different type of media.
