                                My first CD was Pocket Full of Kryptonite by Spin Doctors, but I returned it and got the Black album by Metallica (I later went and bought the Spin Doctors CD anyway).

                                I have no clue what my first tape was. Maybe Ten by Pearl Jam or Nevermind by Nirvana, but I think I had some before that.
