just orderd my ipod mini..owners, what do you think of them?

yeah, battery life kinda blows, but theres not much Apple can do about it.

I wouldn't be satisfied with 4GB, I got the 20GB model and I'm wishing I got the 40GB one, I got it a week ago and its almost full already.

My friend just had his mini go for a crap, and best buy/apple won't agree who's responsable to cover it. Thing is its not even 5 months old!

Myself, I dont need a huge HD, as I only use it at work so I got a 1G Sony minidisc. The only thing I don't like about the Sony, is the interface software.. confusing as hell to get any song organization setup, and it wont upload a few songs that don't have copyright info encoded. The best part is if I don't crank it all the way up(half volume) I can use it for a week and a half of 8.5hr shifts on a single AA battery.

That's weird, the warranty I got from Best Buy replaces the iPod, no questions asked, as long as it isn't lost or stolen.

His HD operating system died and they told him he needed to contact Apple. Apple in turn, told him he had to deal with Best buy. I guess it has to do with the fact that BestBuy is new to Canada. I don't know....

I just got an iPod Shuffle yesterday and love the thing. Holds 12 hours of music, size of a pack of gum, same weight as a single car key, and was only $99. And I like the fact that you just plug it into your USB and it charges and fills up your music, very simple and great battery life at 12 hours a charge. This may not be for everyone but for a newbie to iPods and needing one for running in the park and listening to it during a 3 hour lecture at school its perfect

Yeah, personally I have well over $2500 worth of CDs.

My iPod was $260 for the 20GB.

10% of the cost AND its convenient? Yeah.

Well, for hte past month various mac and tech websites have said Apple is coming out with an updated mini. Also, you have to think logically here. The mini has been out for how long? Apple updated its products every certain number of months. Look at the current market trends, companies are putting out Mp3 players with bigger harddrives for less, which caused Apple to step up and change its prices.
