    Robotics Animation

Every year, high schools around the country and the world compete in FIRST robotics. And each team must not only design and build a robot, but create a website, 30 second animation as well.

Both the website and animation was completely done by high school students. I am on the mechanical subteam so dont ask what they used to do this. Because it all sounds to me.

Let me know what you guys think.

What's with all the geeks on the Internet? Is that a real question?

Hey man rock on! I was involved with FIRST since man.. 98 or so.. Right now 3 years out of high school Im still doing it as a mentor

                TEAM 270!! *WOOOT*

Im doing the Competion at Hoftstra University with Deer Park High school that same week end.. Should be fun alot of the Local Long Island Badass teams arent fairing so well and the most hated in my book Team 311 East Islip isnt even in it this year..

I worked out the arm system for this years bad boy. As of shipping it can handle 2 triangles with the bot frame doing sorta a 3 legged dog peeing stance

Any chance your team will be going to Nationals?

Our arm system is able to lift one pyramid in 9 seconds I believe. Our arm alone can travel 11 feet in 4 seconds.

On the 19th at 8pm we found our robot was 149 pounds! That's 29 pounds over weight. Somehow we managed to get it down to 111 in 3 days.

                  Team 75!! Woot!!!

I think it flows a lot better than our teams but is less complex

too many flashy transtions, and some of the arraying overlapped too much...

but very crisp, clean editing, good sound (I'd have faded it in... nearly blew my eardrums out). I'd have liked to see more of the robot in the animation...

                        Good luck!

Wen not sure.. normally we just sort of do local event as out school doesnt give us anything other than like a $1000 budget beyond the money to enter .. so we rely on out sponsors ALOT
