Minnesota High School Hockey, Anyone?

Anyone into High school hockey on AO?? Minnesota's got some of the best hockey around the country. I just got back from the White Bear Lake/Centennial game, which was the conference championship. White Bear Lake won 5-3, and are now on their way to the state tournament at the Xcel center next week, should be good, hope to get tickets because that tournament always sells out, thats right 18,000+ in attendence i've seen before. IMO, high school hockey is way better than the NHL. If anyone else is into the high school hockey scene feel free to post--let me know what team you're rooting for in the tournament next week.

you're lucky you have hockey to watch. man, i miss hockey something fierce. this season cancellation just flat out SUCKS!. there is nothing like nhl playoffs which should be starting in a month and a half or so. dammit, dammit, dammit!

yea, I hear ya, it sucks. Its always nice to come home at night after work and watch a wild game. But the high school hockey is awesome here. There is a lot of talent here and these kids play their hearts out. The fans are great too. We were at the Coliseum located in the state fair grounds, great place for hockey by the way, completely sold out, not even standing room, loud as hell too. The arena is pretty much split in two, one half was White Bear Lake fans and the other half Centennial fans, all just shouting back and forth at each other. Can't forget about both of the high school bands playing all the songs too, hehe, can't beat the hockey atmosphere. Good times.
(even a couple of fights broke out towards the end of the game on the ice, you gotta love it)

w00t, Im from Shakopee and our boys hockey just played last night. If we won then we go to the Excel next week. I hope they do because I'm in the Pep Band and I want to play there

I might go watch the state tourny at the Xcel, it should be awesome. Our school is 26-2 going to state, so they should create quite a stir up there.

Wow, nice game between Duluth East and Moorehead. The first pweriod alone would have been worth the price of admission. Vandevelde just pounding away at the goalie 'Sol the Wall' and getting turned away. I'd be interested to know where they are going after HS. The Gophers landed the top US born prospect in the nation and that should be nice if he plays a full four years.
