Do you not have a manual override for turning the lights on, or do they run strictly off of a photocell? If you have a wiring diagram for the car, it should give you the location of a relay in the lighting circuit that ties in with the e-brake... A jumper or a bypass splice should take care of it...

alot of the newer cars have that in them..i dont know why..but i know on chevys the lights work with the Ebrake if you turn them on with the switch..daytime running lights suck.

Yeah, I have a Chevy... I just found the lighting relay where the e-brake ties in and bypassed it... No more daytime running lights... They only work when I turn them on

they do it because they dont want ppl parking and leaving their lights on

i think they just dont like ppl that know how to drive but... eh

anyways, a simple bypass should be all that you need. of course, now would be a great time to simply switch to a stand-alone ecu if you have a few g's lying around
