    Ski advice . . .

So my sister is looking to buy new skis. She's a sophmore in college so she's done growing.

She's about 5'5" (if that tall) and no more than 120lbs. She's an intermediate to advanced (mostly blues but occasionally will try a black)

Any advice?? Don't they make different skis for women?

All I know is my Atomic SX9s and they're a little advanced for her. But they kick so much ***

I know, they friggin rule. I don't know what Atomic is doing in terms of company policies but they make some awesome skis. But she can't handle those so . . . any other suggestions?

I dont like the new parabolic kind of skis really. When i get the chance, i use these big 190s or something. Im bout 6 foot 190 and they work real good.

If she wants to go fast get bigger skiis. If she wants to go medium go medium and so on. Most the time youll have to look for all the things she wants and find a ski that has them all together.

I love big skiis, hell i forget what brand they are........ I think they are a pair of rossies but not sure

maybe the lower end of the voelkl supersport or whatever? the ones with the stars on em is all i know, the 3 (if there is) or 4 star might be good, and if shes 5'5" and a girl shed be good with something aroun6 150-160cm

if YOU want a good pair of skis, get a pair of salomon equipe 10 2V's. i got em for racing, and theyre 180cm of pure speed.

I'm still riding my Rossi Bandit 198s from 1999... they're sweet, and I havn't been on any terrain between upstate NY and Whistler that they couldn't get me down the mountain at rediculously fast speeds without falling...

but for someone that short, the new "rule" for shaped skis is shorter than you are tall...

I don't think there's really much difference anymore if you're paying 500-700 for a pair anymore, good boots and bindings seem (to me) to be more important for control and stability.

                    How does she ski?

Search Ebay for Atomic R:11 or R:10, I have the 11 and its a nice carving ski, I wanted something a little more flexible though.

                    Cant jump well with em

Yes she is an attractive woman with her chastity still in tact. So no you can't get a date with her. If I see anyone of the male species, thats not family, within 3 feet of her, I'm gonna break their legs and throw them in a lake.
