Web Site Idea... Pencil Drawings

As you guys may have known from my history, I am usually based in all computer graphic design... But I had any idea for a pencil drawing website... using hundreds of pictures all scanned in....

The page would just be like a drawing of a room... but all items would drigger a page... like if you glick the drawing of the guitar it would go to a song page, a joke book go to jokes... picture album go to pictures, and stuff like that...

It would be in all gray pencil and LINED SCHOOL PAPER... This will make a really neit effect... even the animations will be mostly drawn, like when you clikc on something and it comes up with the page name that will be scanned in an overlayed as a graphic... kinda see what im saying?

And animations would be mad cool with retraces of the enviroment, cuz the enviroment would like vibrate and variate know what im saying? What do u guys think?

sounds really sweet, i think it would be cool if you clicked on something it would zoom in in a non-cheezy way to the object, and show the information or whatever. you know like if it were a sketch, but treated as an environment you can navigate through, instead of a drawing that you clicked some stuff on.

Damn... first i need a scanner.. im ordering my lappy tomorrow, its an option as an ad on for 55 bucks... i gotta see if my mom will loan me 55 and i can do this project... I'll draw some of the stuff during school tomorrow and take a picture... and im not sure how i would do the 3d drawing enviroment... im not that good

Brak i just checked out the gorillaz page... that was exactly what i was planning on doing initially... but i thought it would be cool if it was on paper, with like the lines in it in stuff... so itll look very nice... very sketchy... very cool... But no it wont be as nice as the gorillazs page =(

Sounds a lot like the design of our school literary magazine last year, the I-Mag. They just wrote the page numbers, a thin line of handwriting for the top of each page, and some other small things. scanned them in, and voila: and award winning literary magazine. The web-site would be hard work, but it would turn out awsome I'm sure.

Computer -

A Laptop will be drawn on top of a desk... when you mouse over it, a glare will go around the screen (like kids do around the sun), when you click it the screen will switch to a drawn view of the laptop, showing the keys, mouse thing, LCD screen, all that good stuff... The actual text on the laptop WILL SCROLL... and it will be written by hand and scanned in, and will bassically say the specs of my lap top... Thats the first thing that will be done. I'll see if i can get that done this week. Once i get a full view of the enviroment all the modifications should take a minute each.

Click on the "deer" for the high res pages. My favorite is the "Who are we" page with the animated pics of each person.

Also if you really plan on doing this seriously, look into an electronic pen pad and do the drawing digitally. It would look much better and be easier to do than scanning in a pencil drawing.

more expensive, but easier way is a pc tablet.

I tried something like that once, each page was a piece of notebook paper i had put on a clipboard and drawn the menu's/content on. It was fun, but rather worthless.

Well this idea got shot down by the fact that I didnt wanna buy a scanner... So heres what I have so far... this is only 3 hours of work here... So its still all in beta form... all the animations just play rite now, just to show you exactly whats going on
