yea I want to try it but I dont have time to waste so if its something that doesnt work for me.... I dont know im still considering it. I need 15- 20 pounds of lean though before August. I need to get 255ish. -10-12% body fat but I would settle for 14. Without breaking any rules too is because im getting tested. So ive sadly dropped the cardio this month in order for more weight.

I dont know most people I meet swear to me one thing, that theyve done it for 20 years. And then Ill meet someone else who works out a completely diff way and they swear the first guy was wrong. So im stickin to my thing for now but def lookin into HST.

well if you think about it, if they've been doing it for 20 years then there's no way they have been applying all the recent advances in exercise science. maybe what they've been doing works for them but maybe they could've been making even bigger gains faster. the thing about HST is it follows naturally from research. what are all these other people basing their theories on? mostly outdated reseach and experience. something worked for them or for someone they know. that's great but could it be better?

HST makes sense to me. it uses a lot of ideas that i already knew about and some things that i thought up on my own based on my understanding of how muscles respond and grow. it ties them together into a cohesive program and adds some other stuff that i didn't know about. the point is anybody could have come up with this. if i had read all the research i could have come up with this exact thing. it just follows naturally from research on how muscles grow.

*added on edit* HST is Hypertrophy Specific Training. Hypertrophy is muscle growth. HST is just a fancy name for training specifically for muscle growth. it's based on research on how muscles grow instead of increasing strength or other performance based metrics or even worse anecdotal evidence from some big name.

Bronze bods and rippling abs abound when Strong Bad gets some sun.

Believe the people its all about diet if you want to get your abs to pop.

Its a missunderstanding about your abs though, they are just like any other muscle in your body. Now if you wanted to build size on your arms would you work them out every day? no because you need to leave some down time so they can rebuild and grow.

Treat your abs like you would any other work out. Don't do 1000 sit ups, that won't do you any good other than make your lower back tired.

Do excercises like roman chair, inclined sit ups with weight. You need to place resistance on your abs like any other muscle.

I don't know your work out so this will be an example.

3 sets, 10 reps a set of incline sit ups with 10-20lbs
3 sets of roman chair, legs straight out ahead.
3 sets of 10 reps of medicine ball and incline sit ups.

i don't know if this is the reason for him not posting but he is rather busy at the moment with certification tests, conventions, teaching and such.
