Ridiculous that a post making a plea to stop flaming and spam draws spammers and flamers(you know what I mean) out of the woodwork...this entire thread has proven the type of crowd that has gathered 'round the once round table of AO. But hey, there's always hope...Just some rocky times right now in some people's opinions. And come on, the hot chick thread wasn't THAT great anyway.

Actually, I've been coming to AO a lot longer than 4 years...but you're right, I've only been registered here for 3 years and 9 months.

I was basically just blowing off steam with this thread, but I meant what I wrote. I'm not flaming all of the "15 year-olds" here--a lot of you are good posters. Hell, I don't even know your age unless you post it; however, if you choose to post like a know-it-all teenager, then you will be thought of as one--no matter what your age is. It really is that simple!
I don't plan on leaving AO any time soon, but I would like to see the quality of the posts start to rise above the current "norm".

Although this sn is barely a year old (checks and looks), I regularly lurked and even posted a small amount in college (99-03).

And to the point of this thread; i.e. what makes AO, well AO.

As I originally posted, getting together to play with great guys is, IMO, the most important thing going. And I've been to 20+ days in the past year and a half.

So: I may have missed some of the online goofiness; but I certainly stand by my Nor-Cal crew as solid examples of, yet again, "AO Isn't Dead"

There are no serious threads and posts because everything is closed or deleted. The mods have definately changed over the last year. It sucks. The only reason I come back is because this is the placed that introduced me to the paintball family. I'm pretty conservative but even I am annoyed when posts get deleted all the time. Whats the point? Who is in charge here? I'm not saying vulgarity or porn should be allowed. But you used to be able to link to stuff with a warning and it was ok. My last post was deleted amd it was pretty tame. Every thread now has one person with a "in before the lock" post. What fun!
