So I finally started putting a ha;f-decent system in my truck. So far I have Pioneer 3-Way's all around(6.5" up front, 5x7" in back) and a Sony head unit. I have 2 questions:
1) There is occasionally some static or buzzing. If I turn the truck off and back on, sometimes it goes away. I have checked all the wiring and it appears to be good. I havn't pinpointed exactly what causes it yet. It seems to be random at this point. Any ideas as to what it could be from? Someone told me to just hoop up power and stuff then hard wire the speakers straight to the head. I kinda like that idea since my truck isn't exactly electrically sound and thats what I'm thinking is causing the static.
2) I need a pair of Subs and an amp. I'm thinking a pair of 8's. Looking for SQ more than SPL and I don't listen to (much) rap so I don't need hella bass. I just want to be able to "feel" the music. I'm on a limited budget, and I don't need enclosures, I can build those no problem. Suggestions?
