Because, I am trying to actually get serious in my graphic design, and I'm not always plopped infront of my desk. So I figured why not just by a comp with some of the nicest specs even for a desktop, but as a laptop... This was I can design where ever i go and whenever. And because i have the money to do it (even though im 14...), but did u find a used one quik?

I would buy a powerbook if i could afford it, i'd need about 2200 for a good ibook... maybe when i get older and get a job

get a pc.....you'll like it in the future.....install some form of linux if you dont like windows.....

Echo, what programs are you working with primarily? I've mentioned the Adobe CS suite to you before. Anyways, I believe Blaze's point is that you have to sacrifice on hardware and affordability to run a laptop versus a desktop system.

1600 would stretch a lot further for a custom tower build, specially compared to a "custom" from a manufacturer laptop.

I am aware of the expandability of PC's, I am aware of the expanidability of Notebooks. I have though both out, and I have my reasons for choosing a laptop. So could you guys please just critique the notebook, and compare? Because I am not getting a desktop

I have an Ibm Thinkpad reall old but it does well for being so old....idk might think about checking them out?
