        You guys want to have some fun ... we rewired an iron to increase the heat that plate on it could put out, and then built a stand to set it on upside down. We were able to get it hot enough to boil water in a metal canteen cup. At the time we were not allowed hot plates or microwaves in out barracks rooms so we had to improvise ... we killed more than one iron and damn near started a couple big fires trying to get this right.
