so my bro and i went to the local indoor range here. And shot a small cache of pistols, they rent them out. Anyhow, the selection was: Colt 1911, glock 17, glock 27 (for fun), Ruger .40 forgot what model and a USP .40. they didnt have any Sigs around unfortunately.
Of all of them we both liked the USP, with the 1911 a close second.
I did a little reseach and found the USP is quite the contender. Multiple configurations in the actions, rugged, polygonal barrel, accurate, can handle +P rounds pretty soundly ect.
Futhermore as a 1st time gun owner, can you recomend any safetey courses/combat courses? Granted where we live there is very little to no crime and the oppertunity to use the gun defensively would be a slim to none odds. Shooting competitions would not be out of the question.
Any 1st hand experience with USPs of any caliber model for that matter would be greatly appreciated. Any cool links or wners group would be awesome too. Thnx!
