Invalidated billing information on Xbox Live?

I loaded up Halo 2 for some Live play today, and a message popped up while it was signing on that said "An important message is waiting for you in your Xbox Dashboard"...or something like that. It wouldn't let me skip it and sign on so I went to the Dashboard. It said that my billing information had been invalidated and I needed to update my billing information in order to sign on to Live again. I found out that if you recover your account onto another Xbox console it invalidates on the original one, so I'm thinking that's might have been what happened since I this is the same accoutn from the prior owner. I doubt it's going to go away on its own, so it looks like I'm stuck without live for awhile

Has anybody else had this happen to them? If so, what did you do to fix it?

I wonder if anybody would be kind enough to spare me a 2 month free subscription to Live before I start going through withdrawls

Sounds like they need updated credit card information to bill you.

OT kinda here, but I have had HALO 2 since XMAS and I haven't even opened it yet...lol.

I might have a 2 month in my HALO 2 ... who knows. I'll open it up sometime this weekend when I'm done with my new lease stuff.

Well, this sucks. A friend had 2 trial cards that both expired on March 31, 2005, and he wasn't going to use them. He gave me the first code, I tried it, and it said it was invalid. I double-checked it, he double checked it, and it still didn't work. He gave me the second one, and that one didn't work either. I guess I'm just cursed

I had this happen what it means is your subscription is up and they tried to charge you a month which is insane almost $80 a year. Anyways those cars wont work for you b/c they are for new members or subscribers in other words your xbox isnt stupid it knows your trying to beat the system by getting away with a 2 month trial code so it denied you b/c you already had a account.
