    Another thread about working out/losing weight

    Yeah, another one.

    I'm competing in the pan-american championships for jiu jitsu on april 2nd.

    I need to make the weight requirement or I will be immediately disqualified.


    So that means losing five pounds (I'd like to make it 10 to be safe), because apparently the gi weighs 5 lbs. Mine doesn't, but whatever, I need to lose 10 lbs. Without losing muscle mass- preferrably GAINING muscle mass.

    My schedule is pretty full. I have karate for 1.5 hrs monday-thursday, a private ballet class for 2.5 hours on saturday, and next week I'm starting my workouts for lifeguarding. I know this is going to make me lose fat, but i'll gain muscle. How do I fix this?

    I don't like to share this, but I have to be careful because I'm prone to eating disorders, if that changes your reply at all. Any insight would be appreciated.

    5 - 10 lbs is pretty easy. Just cut out the crap. No soda, just water. Eat salad with very little dressing and some lean grilled chicken. Also, add a little cardio, jog a couple miles. Or swim, since you're gonna be lifeguarding.

        well sorry to cut in but what does everyone else do for excersise? he seems to do alot...i dont do anything... dang AIM makes it too convienient to talk to friends and hot girls i like Twins too

        Oh yeah i suggest no soda at all.....i think it was mango who said that... and eat i think posta before that fight i think i read somewhere it gives you lots of energy so you can kick some ya know.....
