Execpt Rap and Country, we all know it sucks. Blennidae's got a good start for punk music. The old stuff like The Ramones and The SexPistols were freaking awsome but the stupid girly wuss bands like Simple-Plan and Sum41 have killed punk rock and turned it into a repetative pot of crap. Now when i listen to music i try to keep an open mind, again except to country and rap. Now dont get me wrong here there is a few songs in those genre's(sp?) that you can rockout to but those are few and far between.

Other than that most other music is great, Rock is good, Heavy-metal is good, Emo is good. ....... well i started to read over what i typed in and i forgot what i was trying to say so........ ya ROCK ON!!!!!

Good music CAN be found in every genre... even rap and country. Although I don't listen to either genre, talented artists are in both. You just have to look harder.

Wow, i don't understand why people always automatically cancel out an entire genre. I listen to alittle bit of everything, and no im saying that to say that i have a bigger/better/whatever taste in music, im just saying that every genre has something to it, you just have to look. I listen to punk, i listen to metal, but right now i have an Aesop Rock cd in, he's one of my favorite rappers, i respect his stuff. If you were to ask me about any genre, im sure i could easily find something that is appealing to me.

On another note, fuzzy cheesecake said that the new (pop)punk bands ruined punk, well thats because they arent punk, they are pop. Punk is still alive and well, you just have to look. There are punk scenes all around the world with good music, you just have to look for it.
