Thats the DEA for you. Heard about this a LONG time ago, but the video just came out. Thats why we have the cardinal rules of safety.

No external safety on a Glock. Of course that should not have prevented him from keeping his finger away from the trigger.

Not as scary as the video of the cop who almost puts one in a suspects head as her partner has him on the ground in the process of cuffing him.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves. 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

                I saw that, good stuff.

The DEA agent in the video shot himself in the leg, not sure where exactly but I believe the thigh. I never knew there was video of that until last week.

If he shot himself in the leg, why did he continue teaching them for about 2 more minutes?

I guess it could be a good argument for shot placement vs. caliber, right?

i think that's a pretty good example of how even someone who deals with guns all the time and is trained in there use can have an accident. he just got done telling them it wasn't loaded, which is what most kids think when they start playing with them. that is going to be ingrained in their minds forever. did you hear their reaction when they pulled out the bigger gun? hahahaha. one kid yelled out "PUT IT DOWN!" i'd be pretty freaked too after he just shot himself. "nono this one really is empty. it's ok!" haha. yeah right. i know in my head it's unlikely for him to make the same mistake after shooting himself in the leg but i'd still flinch if i was sitting in that room.

i find it amazing that he could continue teaching... makes me wonder if it wasn't an actual bullet and staged so that i'd freak the kids out...

you'd think that officer would have enough knowledge to stay away from the trigger.

i know if i got popped in the leg from point blank i'd go down like a ton of me....
