Gillette (sp?) sent me a brand spanking new Mach 3 razor when I turned 18 (I'm only like 4 months late posting this thread). I talked to my friends, and they said they had all gotten one when they turned 18 too. This has got to be one of THE most BRILLIANT marketing/advertising ideas ever. Think about it: It saturates the market with Mach 3's, which are awesome razors in the first place, and it's great advertising since so many people get them. THe REALLY good thing about this is now since so many 18 yr olds have Mach 3's, they now have to buy replacement razor heads, which cost a LOT. It's fairly cheap when you think about it for Gillette to send out razors to so many kids, because they easily make their money back in replacement razor heads. Is anybody else as astounded as I am about this great marketing plan?

i got 2 of them when i turned 18 and i also got one when i turned 20. they all came with shave jell. but i use an electric razor so i didnt use the ones i got for free.My Guns: chrome and black pump mag

Well the product is awesome. I get like 10 shaves easy out of one blade. Its well worth the money. And the Ladies "Venus" takes the same blades...so use them they are alot cheaper.

are the razor with blades package still cheaper than a 3 pack of replacements? I remember I got a mach 2 (i think) when I turned 18. Gotta love free stuff from people that don't know you.

ut my parents did buy me one for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago and I still use it today....
