Do you just want a freewebs or geocities site? Or you have a real website domain and host and you need something to build it with?

If you are looking for a cheapo free website host/page, go with geocities.com or freewebs.com. If you want a program to help design you website, search online for coffecup html editor, takes some of the pains out of html editing. I'd suggest learning some photoshop also.

i'd suggest you not do it. personal websites by people not involved with programming or graphic design are almost universally ugly. sorry. i'm feeling cranky because i went to church today. i really do hate seeing everybody's sites though.

notepad is as good as any program to create webpages...

I used to be a professional web developer (got out of it now) and I used to use a mixture of Notepad and Microsoft Interdev (but that was for doing serious ASP pages)

for artwork, I use Corel, but it's virtually identical to photoshop - I just prefer the menu layouts...

anyway, a good site for learning how to do stuf is http://www.htmlgoodies.com

              enjoy!
