Thunderbird is a free email application that’s easy to set up and customize - and it’s loaded with great features!

Email cleints don't get spam, people get spam.
I don't get a single spam email. I don't have a single filter set up.
Just don't go signing up for all those "win something" contests and porn websites, and you're all set.

            exactly.

I have two email address on is my "contact" email for people I know and important things.

and my other email adde is for online crap that requires you to have an email adde

dumping outlook will do nothing for your spam problem
you can block senders with outlook express.

I hate doing it also but like I said above its time for a new email address

Yup, like fire said, just make a different account for online forms and submitting it to god knows where and who.

Also, I find Gmail alot better than any email client. I love the way they handle multiple messages, it's got a spell checker, and all its other features, I love em.

                agreed again.
I dont use my internet providers email account much anymore. I dumped it for gmail. best email provider I have ever used.
Its nice also if you want to change internet service providers that you dont have to keep changing email addresses.

I can do with gmail what all the other email providers charge $25 a year for.

Uh, yes.. I am well aware. But I have had this e-mail address for about 6 years and I am in no hurry to dump it. I also have 'other' addresses that I use for the 'free porn' and stuff.....
.. and it would be nice to have some kind of spam filter on those too.

Unfortunately, all it takes is one of your ligitamate senders (IE: Your bank, credit card company, ect) to sell out their E-mail list and BAM!!. AND the scary thing is that it happens all the time. (BTW, I dont want to get into an argument about how they DONT DO it, because they DO.)

Thanks for the sugguestions, I was actually looking into Thunderbird one.
