    map of Europe game

Remember that game someone posted a while back where you had to slot the various American states into a map of the USA? Same idea, but for Europe...

    European Map Game

I had 468 seconds, 36/44 correct with average error of 56 miles.

188 seconds, 30/44, 68% accuracy, 178 mile error. I was going for time really. And I suck at eastern Europe, those killed me. Only 2 widely known western Europe countries I missed were Spain and Switzerland. Spain was dropped too early and I didn't have enough places for Switzerland to be placed right.

But over in Eastern Europe, I missed Ukraine, Moldava, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia (I thought it was west of Czech republic, seems it's east), and the little countries of San Marino, Malta, Andorra (I knew it was between Spain and France, dropped it too far north), Luxembourg, Liechtenstein.

          My bad.

Tried the Asian & African maps, too.

          43/47, 69mi & 350 sec; 48/53, 102mi & 450sec.

Stupid game... there are cities your supposed to place - maybe those are states. And then I got Albania - I thought that was something in the Dilbert cartoons.. it existed? LOL - I did reasonably well, or was for a bit, but it was nothing comparable to your scores. Guess I'm more 'centric (whatever nation centric is) than I thought I was.

Ooh, thanks for the link MarkM. Went straight to level 9 to test myself. Got a 25/44, took 500 something seconds, can't remember exactly.

                Second time now. 32/44, 73%. 388 seconds, 552 secore.

Drag, rotating, AND size it right, without a name to tell you what you've got. That's fun.

The rotate ones are really difficult.

lohman all the ones in Europe are technically countries, I know what you mean about Vatican city and Andorra and Luxembourg but then to be fair I wouldn't expect an American to do so well on the European map. I can't remember the scores I got on the US states one but then I did have to study the geography of the US for an exam course so the score wasn't too shabby. My European knowledge is based mainly on news reports, which obviously are going to be more frequent for me than the storys that make your news.

I figured I might as well copy the links over to save on the clicking

Ok inspired by Bolter US version post...here from the same site is a European version difference is you get to choose the difficulty...the Level 3 version is the closest in form to the US states.

Hmm, 37/44 112 miles off ave
84% correct and just under 500 seconds.

                      My question is:
San Marino WTF? Never heard of it. I've at least heard of Liechdenstein.

I was also interested in the baltic area south of Lithuania that is still Russian. I guess they didn't all break off.

Hehe, I wonder if I have any gypsy ancestors in Moldova. 80% Irish with the rest Bavarian and Moldavian. Sadly I got none of the drinking genes but lucked out on longevity and hair.

I hope you are trying to be funny.

Luxemburgh is a country, San Marino is a principality, same as Monaco, Malta is a country, Vatcican City is also technically a country under the protecterate of Italy, Lichenstien is another principality. Andorra is a country...maybe a principality but it sure exists.
If a place has its own laws and stamps it is technically a country. Admitted the Balkan States are a little more difficult to place since the break up of Yugoslavia.

Like if I was to say that Rhode Island isn't a state, would I be wrong...you bet. But then Rhode Island was easy to place on the US states game

Bingo, not countries. And whats this France crap? How many freakin times does someone have to take them over before they lose their countryness? And why on earth would anyone trust Italy to protect their "country" when they cant even defend their own? Oh wait I forgot, theyve got Swiss army knife mercenaries. Also, why does everyone and their aunt get their own country in Europe, but we cant just solve a war by letting Iraq become separate countries even though its some arbitrary line drawn on a map by some British tard after WW1?
