Trackball mice?

Anyone here use them? If so what kind? My brother got one like 4 months ago and loves it. I want some other opinions if you like them or not. I am trying to decide if I should get one with the ball on the side or in the center. I'll have to go to bestbuy and try them out there.

Use 'em, love 'em. Can't stand mice at all anymore.

They're fast, no rolling all around,takes minimum desk space,no messing with pads and no stress on the wrist (for me anyway)

I had a Logitech Trackman Optical something or other for years and then the buttons finally died out one by one, so.....right now I'm using a Microsoft Optical something or other. Has like 4 buttons ,scroll wheel w/ button and track ball. All programmed I only ever have to touch the keyboard to type.

So,yeah... that's what i use.

I used them till I realized it was why I sucked so much at Quake 3. Been using Mice ever since.

Microsoft Optical something or other. Has like 4 buttons ,scroll wheel w/ button and track ball. All programmed I only ever have to touch the keyboard to type.

Thats probably what I have. Once you get used to them they are perfect for gaming, and I can make much more coordinated movements with it.

I get alot of flak from other gamersbecause im "using a cheater mouse."
I love em, just be sure to get the kind you move with your fingers, and click with ur thumb.

A Trackball devote...

I've been using a track ball forever. Well, at least since I got my first real PC 9TI994A & AppleII's hardly count) back in `90. Currently using a TrackMan Marble+, but I've had it for a few years now. I changed my PC at the old job to a spare trackball because it discouraged anyone else from fussing w/ it.

I just got a new Logi MX 1000 laser mouse and this thing is freakin awsome if you surf the net and like haveing numerous functions right on your mouse. Has tons of customization and very ergonomic (sp?) so comfy. and it is rechargable too

I don't care for them, but a few of my friends use them for gaming and are amazing. I guess that it's just something that you aquire.

haha well guess its time for me to get a new mouse im still using my old dell one with the ball, its not even a laser. i hate it...it constantly gets stuck i think ill ppick up a new one today...
