Screw college acceptance, where have you been REJECTED?

My friend who is of Russian decent put asian on all his applications and well he got into a lot of places he probably wouldnt have otherwise. His last name is Sitovich, sounds really oriental.


Anyway I got rejected from UC Davis' Engineering program but got into Cal Poly's. From what I understand Cal Poly> Davis when it comes to engineering. I think it was my essay that got me rejected though. Wrote it in like 20 min.

Duke waitlisted me after I found out they're full of fecal matter. So I'd say I rejected them first.

But hey, Mechanical Engineering at Butler/Perdue isn't bad.

I was "Middle Class Suburban White Kid Reejcted" From the University of Michigan...

That's pretty much when they defer you until its too late to say yes anywhere else...

Note: My buddy Matt, who is 1/4 Hispanic got a full ride to U of M with a GPA the same as mine, and 1 point higher on the ACT (I got a 27).

Reverse-Racism at its worst...

Anyway, I got a huge scholarship to a school that ultimately turned out to have an Architecture program WAY better than PCU's.

Haha Michigan is like that... I got into U of Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, Ohio State, and partially West Point (pretty much harder than any college I can think of). But Michigan denied me and said, send in your grades from next semester and we'll think about it. Either way they cost too much without ROTC.

That's my big one... I've been denied from ROTC based on medical disqualification (peanut allergy).

How did you manage that one? I mean, granted CNU is not the easiest school to get into....but jeeze, there are no flaming hoops to jump through either.

I've been living in GMU's backyard for 18 years. Going to the occasional concert at the Patriot Center is quite enough Mason for me. :) I need to get the hell away from Springfield.
