So wait, let me get this straight. You were going 98 in a 65 and you expected to maintain a perfect driving record?
Ok.

I got a 85 in a 65...
bastard state trooper in Detroit...
I could have fought it and won, but was leaving town for the summer and wouldn't have been able to make it back for the court date...
he didn't have me on radar.... and I was going slower than the people FLYING past me on both sides...
4 years ago now... Really glad those 3 points are off my record...

No I don't think it's a reckless because there was no one on the road but me and the state patrol headed towards me and also I slowed back down to 65 before he passed me in the opposite lane. But, how do you tell if it is a reckless ticket??? It's just marked as a traffic offense on the ticket.Originally posted by slatemanNicely done.
I just hope it wasn't a reckless ticket cus then you are SCREWED!!!
And I would have too if only I didn't get caught!Originally posted by personmanSo wait, let me get this straight. You were going 98 in a 65 and you expected to maintain a perfect driving record?
Hopefully they'll go easy on me since it's my first ticket. It says on the ticket that it's worth 6 points off my drivers license, so that's gonna take me down to zero until I turn 21 and get them back.
I should tell them, "But my speedometer only said I was going 85!" (1995 F-250)

lots of you guys get off lucky
I got a 92 in a 55 last summer and I got completely rolled. They turned it into a wreckless driving ticket because I was "changing across multiple lanes at high speeds" or some crap like that. I went to court to fight it hoping the cop didnt show. He came. The judge asked me why I thought I shouldnt be given a ticket, and I told him I had based my whole case off the cop not showing up. He thought I was trying to be cute when I was really just being honest and he slammed me with like 500ish worth of a ticket and a couple driving classes to go to AND its on my record so my insurance went through the roof. I think it might have even been less if I didnt go to court.
O and after words that
ing cop was waiting outside by my truck and got in my face for making him waste his time. Ive never wanted to hit someone so much in my life. I mean you cant blame me for trying to get out of a ticket.

A guy I met at traffic school got a ticket for going 46 in a 25 on a bicycle. He was rather proud of his achievement. I'd best be going, my girl just walked in the door with a pie... how cool is that?Comment

In the past Year (give or take a month) I have been pulled over 13 times for various things (mostly speeding). I think at least 5 of those were buy the same Hampton township cops(they are soo cute). The first 12 times I was let go with a "be more careful, slow down, stay safe" ect. The 13th time was the one that got me. 49.7mph in a 25mph at 4 am.. a mere 3 hours before I was to catch a flight to Vegas/Sacremento. The cop for some reason found the need to give me a ticket, $105 but no points. I think that is a pretty good track record considering some of the speeds I was going in the previous pull overs
Sometimes being a chick ain't so bad.
