Get one oil producer to produce more oil then they are allowed.. this will then cause all of them to break the agrement set up by the cartel(?) and cause a nice gas price war..

But in the long run have you ever seen gas prices drop?

Untill oil starts falling from the sky.. I'll stick with my compact car.. and wait for electirics/hybrids to lower in price. I may not be able to lower the gas price for everyone.. But I can lower the amout I spend every week

Gas prices...hmm....Well, as I see it, there are a couple of things that are going to begin happening here. First, the many oil drills in the country that have been shut down over the past few years because of a lack of profit will reopen...if gas at $1.70 won't turn a profit, I'm pretty sure gas at $2.50 will. An increase in production from the new drills will begin to lower gas prices. Second, the people who continue to be pissy about drilling in Alaska will have less of a problem with it as long as their wallets stop hurting. Plus, I'm pretty sure we can drill without ruining EVERYTHING up there. Third, there will be WAY too many people complaining about the prices in the near future for the government to not pursue alternatives. Car dealerships, car garages, gas stations themselves, and most average citizens will be having a problem with this in the near future if prices continue to go up. Anyway, just my 2 cents...I think the prices will go up for a little while longer, but then they'll level and go down again....until the earth runs out of oil altogether and world war III ensues.

i still don't understand how a 12 inch hole in the ground would ruin the ecosystem in alaska. the process of actually drilling the well would be the most "gruesome" aspect, if they use a rotary drill and dig the pits. and when they were done, they would just have to backfill and in a year or two the only difference would be a 6+ inch peice of pipe sticking a few feet out of the ground. if they decide not to develop it!

i have a strong, reinforced suspicion that any rig that has an engine and the equipment to, is already out looking for new pockets.

            two things...

IF you as a oil company sold oil at insanely low prices... expect ur *** shot and killed in 8 hrs or sleep in a bunker made of 8ft thick steel aaaaaaaand never come out for 5 yrs...

and also i saw on some show on Discovery Channel that the ozone was going to die later on anyways even if we stayed cavemen because the volcanos do do the most damage even tho that was already said
