    Boots!!

    Ok, so after wearing boots excusively for a couple months, they have really grown on me. Normally I didn't wear boots that much at all.

    But ok so all the snows gone, the mud has dried up, so there wasn't really a need for me to use em anymore. Put back on my shoes for the first time since snow fell, and I was didn't like the feeling. I love my boots now.

    Looking to invest in a god pair of boots I can wear all the time instead of shoes. Can anyone recomend some good looking comfortable boots?

      I hike in ASLOs or something like that. Cost an arm and a leg, but they're freaking awesome. I've probably hiked around 500 miles in them, backpacking, and they only look a tad scruffed up.

          I love my Timberlands, I pay $40 for them and they have lasted me 3 years of heavy use. Just about every month I slap some otter oil on them to soften them up and water proof them and that also helps with the weaing process. Remember, Gore-Tex is your friend!

            I have Steel Toe Doc Martens for work, theyre pretty comfy, sole wore out on the last pair after two years, but it involves alot of walking and general hard on shoe work.

                Raichle or Vasque. Might cost you $250, depending on model, but you can wear them for the better part of a decade. My current pair of Vasque boot were purchased in 1997.

                  My opinion is:
                  Timberland = Crap!
                  My wife bought a brand new pair of Timberlands to hike Mt. Fuji in, and they fell apart on the way down! I swore I'd never buy that brand again--they're made just for looks.

                  I've had good experience with Docs, Bates, Belleville, and Corchran. Danners are also very good boots. (The last four brands have all been military boots...)

                        Currently I wear Wolverines GREAT boots

                        I used to wear Redwings till I got ahold of a crappy pair. My pair before that lasted about 4 or 5 years before that.

                        One thing I believe in is that when it comes to boots you get what you pay for.
                        spend the extra money and get a good pair.

                          I wear timberland or lugz (lugz are more of a casual, comfy, out on a date with my girl boots)

                          Oakley makes boots, but they are more mil. looking than anything else.
