    ? About CnC software. (Powerstation/Xpert)

Travers is having sale on "Powerstation/Xpert-2002 Cad/Cam" software. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it? I'm looking to go CNC soon but would like to start with a CAD program first to get the design experience before I buy the equipment.

    Here is the "order #" for a search 99-065-806 @ https://www.travers.com/index.asp

    Any input would be helpful.

This is the CNC kit I'm considering >

If you click on "Check out our new video" it will give you the low-down on their kit. It sounds very promising, has anyone had any experience with this?

Hey Luke really jumping in there arn't you!

Join www.cnczone.com If you haven't already, there is a lot of info there from
    semi-pro to industry.

the price for Powerstation looks hard to beat, practically free for the machine tool world.

I have no opinions at all on CAM software but Visual Mill and OneCNC both appear
to have good reputations and could even be considered "affordable"

Don't know anyone with the centroid cnc system but what I've seen it looks good,
the hardware comes from real companies like SEM servos, the same company Bridgeport
used on their EZtracks,V2XT's and Torqcuts.

Yes, I'm hooked to say the least.

It's on sale for $149 in my "monthly" catalog.

I was looking for a local place to buys machining tools, and stumbled into them, it turns out that one of the dealers is about an 1 hour drive from where I live.

I got the extended version of the video they show on the web site and am convinced I can NOT live without CNC.
