    Doom 3 for Xbox

I got it yesterday, and I'm only 45mins-1hr into it, but it seems pretty good. I got it for PC when it came out but it ran like crap on my computer. Built a new computer and play it now and then. I never got through it though. Now that it's on Xbox, I'll probobly play all the way through.

Call me crazy, but I like consoles better than computers when it comes to games. Kiked back on my couch with a controller is so much better than being hunched over my desk staring at a monitor with scratches smack in the middle(I'm gonna get an LCD one day. Hope my sister dosn't stab that one with a pen too).

I've already noticed alot of subtle changes. Nothing too major yet, but they're noticable. Anyone else playing it?

I mean a counsole has noting compared to a comp with first person shooters, casue the comtrols of mouse and keyboard are much easier, faster, and more accurate then two joysticks on xbox controller. Plus i jsut hoot my comp into my 52 inch hi def widescreen and play wiht my wireless keyboard and mouse form my couch. Best of both worlds.

I definetly agree that console games are more fun. I can sit on a couch and drink beer while I play. It's so much more comfortable. Although, the first person shooters are a lot easier to play on the PC. I'd rather sit on the couch though.

I played the first couple levels of Doom 3 a few months back. One of my brothers works for vicarious visions, the company that ported Doom to the Xbox. I think Activision just bought the company though. It's a pretty sweet game. I didn't try it, but I'm pretty sure it's got coop on it. That looks wicked fun. Doom 3 needs to be played in the middle of the night with all the lights out. I'm thinking of getting it, but I'm still addicted to GT4.

        agreed
pc games look a lot better and I can control them some much better then on the console.

There are some games though that I prefer on the console.

agreed, but in general i only get FPS for the pc, cept halo and halo 2.

When i first got doom for PC me and my freind tried to beat it in one sitting, wow that was a good idea gone bad. Playing that game for that long has a really wierd effect on your mind.

We eneded getting within like an hour of the finish and turning it off and never starting again. I started playin again the other day and think i am pretty close, casue i quit as i was entering the last area of the game.

While I won't deny you can be alot quicker/more precise with a PC, it's just so much more comfortable with a console. Especially when I go downstairs and play on out 65" Mitsubishi HDTV

Actually, our 65 is too big for the room it's in. It looks out of place. Oh well, guess we'll have to deal with it...
