    Hmm..RobAGD

i know that was directed at me...and if you like you can 0 my post count, i dont really care about it, people know me and the little number under my name isnt going to change who i am. I just do those mini posts cuz its fun sometimes to just rant with someone. I dont speak for other people but i dont think many people actually post only to up their counts, with the exception of footemps..

Oh...i just noticed something..when MajorDamage and FooTemps sign online next time they arent going to be very happy people...

Go ahead and 0 my post count too. It doesn't really matter and I don't care about upping my post count! Sheesh! Why does everyone assume that?

I GOT 0! I feel clean again now... I'm deleting a lot of my useless threads right now.

I personally think webby should just turn off the post count function (I know its possible, I've seen other sites with the same software that don't have post counts).

Then there wouldb't be any problem.

that wouldnt make sense...that would make people want to post more, which we are trying to avoid here

The point Rob is making is not to punish people who post often. Its an attempt to push the idea of "Quality over Quantity". In other words, you don't have to post "I agree with XXXXXXX" when someone posts something you agree with. Its just filler. Only post in information threads when you actually have something informational to say. If you can't add to the discussion through a valid answer or an appropriate question, then don't post things that detract from the thread.

In the Friendly Corner, things are a little less-informational, so more stuff goes. But still, some of the stuff in here is totally useless.

As for FooTemps' new title "I get to go to 2000 posts again", you are missing the whole point. The point isn't to delete your post count every 3 months, the point is stop posting 3 billion times a day where your post is just you nodding your head or agreeing with things, etc. Rob is trying to cut down on posts like that, not cause you to make more of them. That goes for anyone, and everyone is guilty of it occassionaly, including myself. But everyone should try to cut down on it. I'm not trying to single Foo out here, but he just seems to make a good example.

Thordic, my avatar status is just a joke. Sheesh, don't take it so literally. I probably will still post a lot but I will cut down on those "yes" and "no" posts. I have tried lengthening my posts and add more info into them too. Maybe you should give me a break even if I am just an example. I'm trying to do better but I can only advance one thing at a time.

EDIT: FYI: You are singling me out...

Foo, if you didn't care about your post count, than why did you try so hard to become a post whore or whatever it is you call it? I don't think post counts should be rid forever, because it comes in real handy in the classifieds. Who are you going to trust more buying from, a guy with 800 posts or a guy with 10? I do think certain people besides and including Foo need to not worry, or even joke, about this claiming the most posts title.

Well, I guess I'm a waste of space then huh? Maybe I should just leave the forums... Who said I worried about the most post title?

I MEAN, I ACTUALLY MAY ENJOY POSTING ON HERE! WHY WOULD I BE POSTING ON A FORUM IF I DIDN'T ENJOY IT? I COULD BE NAGGING MY PARENTS TO LET ME PLAY PAINTBALL INSTEAD! EVER THINK ABOUT THAT? NOPE, YOU DIDN'T BECAUSE YOU WERE SO CAUGHT UP IN YOURSELF THAT YOU DIDN'T THINK!
