    Emergency Jump Start Battery/Box Suggestions?

    Hey,
Recently my fiances PT (2002 Limited Edition) has had some battery issues and while I'm going to fix that up tonight (new connectors and battery) I want to get her an emergency battery box for the back incase it ever happens in a place where I cant get to her in time to get her home/work/etc.

Do you have any recommendations? Just something that she can hook up for a jump easily incase her battery dies on the road or at work since she is the last person to leave her building (outside Security).

Solar makes some extremely nice ones - of course they also are very $$$ for the good ones.

ATD makes a nice three in one combo, with an air compressor, light, and battery booster all in one for about $80 to $90. However, do keep in mind they should all be recharged every month or so to ensure optimal use.

I have a cloeman jump box with a small air compressor and several lights it works like a charm and it also has several power ports so it double as a small gererator for tailgating and the like. Not sure of the model number I'll check later when I go to the car.

if your battery is having trouble, you may want to investigate something else, a battery box may help the problem but it isnt the solution, if your battery is going bad, replace the battery, cables, and have the alternator checked out, a bad alternator can kill batteries slowly and you may not notice its your alt for a long time of doing things with your battery
