I doubt China could win, but I also believe that North Korea would get involved and side with China. That would change the figures dramatically, espcially since N. Korea has nuclear arms. If war did break out, many people would die because, someone said this already, they don't really care about their people. Why should they give a rat's nether region for other civilians? Nukes would rain down like hail.

First of all, World Wars are really hard to get started, especially now that we are such an "advanced" race. From an economic standpoint, no matter which big powers fight, both will get screwed economically no matter who wins.

        War is peace

        Freedom is slavery

Yeah, all 4 of them. what we have to worry about is russia getting involved who has hundreds of nuclear weapons. Though, we have ten's of thousands of nuclear weapons.

Nuclear Winter: USA > China, N Korea, and Russia.

            We can't lose the war.

With the state of the world today, I would be surprised to see another "global" war... The Nuclear arsenal is more of a deterrant than anything. While it may escalate to skirmish, an all out war is highly unlikely.

IF it were to happen, the global economy is so reliant on Tokyo, who else do you think we would side with?

but no, if war were to break out...the US, with its south pacific alliance would be pulled in...and by extension, so would NATO. India and China are not best of friends. The only people china could count on to be there for them are the n koreans. i woulndt put too much faith into the north korean army.

It wont happen, but if it did it would be one hell of a mess. Those leftists would see what a real mess looks like for once...

China would not be allies with countries like N. Korea and Russia just because they are friends, it would be to unite against a country they all hate, Japan. And maybe the US, but Russia doesn't hate us AS much.

I don't know. N. Korea would definitely side with China, they would be a real threat. However, I have a hard time visualizing Russia stacking its chips against the US and our allies.

Ya nice comment, that's great and makes me feel wanted since I'm Chinese American.

I know a thing or two about the character of the Chinese people and government considering 1. I lived there 2. All my relatives live there 3. My grandfather is not only a member of the Communist Party, he was formerly on the committee that would be equal to what is known here as "the United States Senate" and also a two star airforce general.

Look at China's landmass, now look at all the countries surrounding it. Did you know China has had a conflict over territory with EVERY single bordering country since the Communist Party established power? Now when is the last time you remeber China trading blows with a country like Austrialia? Most of China's decision making body are old men, proud old men, but never the less as my father always said, "China neither has the guts nor the reason to pick a fight with the U.S.".

Hatred against the Japanese has always been there, is still there, and will always be there. Just because we hate them doesn't mean China will attack Japan. China still has some ways to go and things to learn about how to interact in the international community and its rules.

And btw, a war between China and Japan/US is unlikely and even if it is, the US will side with Japan. Japan has better ties, economic and otherwise, to the US and better relations. But even with a "1:15" casualty ratio, do you really think the American Public will approve of sending their sons to die over this "asian affair"?

And if you think China's military is anything like Iraq's or Afganistan, you are mistaken. Although not technologically as advanced as the US, it is well trained, highly motivated and the units have high morale. Plus just with it's seer size, it will not be a walk in the park to defeat

no but it sure as hell is better than getting our ***'s kicked.

Whats the name of that one document that says that the US has to come to the aid of any democratic country that gets attacked by communists?

Not unless those bottle rockets are loaded with nuclear warheads.

A battle with the Chinese will be a brutal slugfest.
