    Digital Camera recomendations

Well my camera just died on me (Actually I accidently droped it from an high distance.. )

SO.. looking to invest in a new camera.
    Price under $100ish..

Seeing as how my current one had a video mode, I'd like to get one that still had this feature, even if it's no sound. Other than that, my only real concern is that it's fast (Dunno if that's the right term.. my current camera would have about a second delay after pressing the button before actually taking the picture, it was annoying.)

Know there's lots of camera people here, so help me out
    Thanks

to be honest your not going to get much for $100, maybe if you were willing to spend $200-$300 then we could get you a nice camara that didnt have flash delay or any other delay in picture taking. but think of it this way, the cheaper stuff can and will take nice pictures, but as far as equipment goes... you sorta get what you pay for

With that kind of budget, you are SEVERELY limited as to what you can purchase. A quick DPReviw comparison for the sub-$200 (They don't list sub $100 as an option):

The super-cheap Kodak sharing cameras are junk. Fuji and Canon have some nice cameras a little above your price range.

That 'delay' is known as shutter delay and is measured in milliseconds on D-SLR's. In your price range though it will still be noticable.

Your best bet would be to wait and try to save a bit more up. If you get the cheapest thing you can find now, you will still have junk down the line, and replacing it with a better model will cost you. Good luck!

Also, if you are on a super budget, a low end 35mm Point and Shoot could be an option. The Kodak Picture CD's are also rather cheap. It could be a good temporary compromise. Contrary to what many believe, film is not dead. It is very much alive and well.

I have a leica digilux 4.3, and a olympus camaedia, the leica is spectacular.

Also my father has a Mamiya 645 Pro, it takes incredible pictures.

Theyre probably all out of that price range though, not much for under 100$

Not under $100, but in the area.

From my experance with many levels of digital cameras, I would strongly suggest sticking to Canon models.

Agreed, but I would also suggest saving a bit more and get a decent camera.
