Yes, there is good rap. Public enemy is a great example of good rap. I have respect for all types of music made because it takes talent to make all of it. I prefer to listen to punkish-hardcore-screamo-rock type music, but I can honestly say, you will find some public enemy or nwa on my playlist sometimes. Great beats and sounds great.

I dont care for rap to much its gotten to ...ehhh popy i guess rap'n about the clubs and cars and money its wack....but my bro listens to rap and its not all that bad (better then pop) but check out Nonphiction record label with some pretty good rappers and anyone who likes rap at all check out

Some underground rap

This stuff isn't mainstream and so you may either love it or hate it, but I will tell you that these guys are talented. Even if you hate mainsteam or like it a lot you could possibly love this like I do. And I normally listen to strictly variations of rock. Listing a few good songs I know of too that might turn you on to the artist.

Gorillaz (also has del as the main rapper, very chill band though)
-They have a new CD coming out that is supposed to be very good, check that out

Jedi Mind Tricks (also another good group, cant think of the track names right now)

All I can think of off the top of my head, these are great rappers that arent always talking about how many women they get with or how many people they shoot because they have some sort of complex hehe.
