    Green gas?

I'm starting to get into airsoft and I was wondering, what is green gas? I searched around on google but I couldn't find anything about WHAT it was.

so could you rig up a gas gun to be more realistic by putting a small flame under the barrel so when it shoots, the gas ignites? thus an imitation muzzle flash.

i believe that is the weaker type of gas used, mostly for japanese abs pistols, so the slides to crack.

green gas is just purely propane, which i think is recommended for metal pistols

thats exactly what it is. thats why i went electric. supposedly you can put a lighter infront of the gun and make a flame when you shoot

                    That should work.

About filling with propane, it is easy, I have done it alot, never a problem. I'm not sure if I would chose electric over gas though, I don't think it is as effective.

I've got a green gas canister right here in front of me. Way down in the bottom of the warnings it says do not discharge gas near spark/open flames. You think they would have a larger warning that says "Flamable" in big letters or something.

You'd be in the crapper if the EPA got a whiff of someone discharging refrigerant. They don't mess around & the fines are STEEP.

Definately extra lube. I keep two bottles at all times. Can't leave home w/o your lubricant.

not as effective? yes, its a little less powerful at only 300 fps

but 1 fifteen minute charge gets me over 1500 shots...
