    I run a Cyber Power System s4 3000... (1,700 dollars)

Intel Centrino 1.7 Ghz 2mb Cache...
    1024 Megabytes of Corsair RAM...
    ATI Radeon 9700 256mb Gfx...
    Onboard 5.1 Surround Sound...
    15.4" max = 1680x1050 LCD...
    80gb 5600rpm Harddrive...
    16X/4X cd-rw/dvd rw Combo Drive ...
    Internal Intel 54Mbs WiFi Card...

and whoa my gosh is this thing nice... I had to choose centrino or amd also, and I chose centrino in the end... At first i was afraid that I was going to regret that when I started gaming and running some graphics software... But no... I definitly didnt... centrino all that way

You do realize 'Centrino' is not a cpu? its a requirment for certain chipset, cpu, and wlan card.
        just a thought.......

of the 3, dont even think of getting a P4. The Dothan (P-M) will kill it in all aspects......
between an A64 and a Dothan, I would get the Dothan. I own an A64-M laptop, but I think the Dothan is better unless you like gaming and want 64-bit.....
I'm a programmer and gamer, so thats why I chose the A64.

Now, if you can find a Turion64, that would be my choice. Its faster, less heat, and less power consumption.
