At first, I thought you were talking about iPod minis. I started reading and got to the gas mileage part and realized I had made quite a mistake.

I remeber reading a Car and Driver aritcle about this place in Georgia that restores the old Mini's and puts a Honda 220hp V-tech engine in it. 220hp + light weight mini = fun. I think it pulled off a low 12sec 1/4 mile. I know this doesn't answer your question but I thought it was cool.
