Alright, any other Star Wars geeks here going to the midnight showing of Episode III? Just wondering if I was alone on AO, or if there was anyone else foolish enough to go watch a movie at midnight just to be "first." I will have caught all of the New Trilogy at midnight with this one. I sure hope it is better than the last two. Even though I enjoyed them, they don't hold a candle to the Old Trilogy.

ROTS will be the best SW movie ever--even better than "Empire"--which is a difficult movie to de-throne. I'm not going to the midnight screening because of a friend's inability to see it on opening night. Yes, I am a huge SW Fan (not geek--I refuse to call myself a geek. That term is reserved for fans of Star Trek.)"Otaeri wa doko desu ka?"

I prolly would go, but seeing that I live in west bufu, Ohio, my local theaters are guaranteed not to even have a midnight show.Origninally posted by warbeak2099
Definately extra lube. I keep two bottles at all times. Can't leave home w/o your lubricant.

My boss has tickets to the midnight showing on Wednesday night at 12.01am. but i have mine for friday night. deffinatly looking forward to this.
if you guys haven't seen the "Clone Wars" cartoons available for download on starwars.com or buy the DVD available at Target you should check it out. These cartoons bridge the gap between Episode 2 and 3 quite nicely i must say. The DVD is chapters 1-20 (each chapter is only like 5 minutes long). and then the last set 21-25 are on starwars.com for download.
did you guys ever see the "Triumph the insult comic dog" when he went to a theatre when Episode 2 was being released and made fun of all the people dress up waiting in line for tickets? i loved the part when a guy dressed up as spock walked by flicking off all the people waiting in line. i don't think i have ever laughed so hard.Originally posted by phazeshifterYes, I am a huge SW Fan (not geek--I refuse to call myself a geek. Yeah I got my tickets a couple weeks ago when they first went on sale. No wait either, just walked up to the ticket box about noon and got two of them.

A buddy sent me the comic dog video yesterday, and I was rolling. Have you seen the funny trailer running around for EPIII? If not, I'll PM you a link. And yes, the Clone Wars cartoons are a definate must watch. They actually end where the movie begins (or so I'm told).Originally posted by thecavemankevinif you guys haven't seen the "Clone Wars" cartoons available for download on starwars.com or buy the DVD available at Target you should check it out...

Well, I'm in the same boat, geek may be too harsh. I don't have Star Wars stuff lining my walls or anything, and I'm not really a collector. It will be a really tall order for this to match Empire. I just hope it measures up to Return.Originally posted by phazeshifterROTS will be the best SW movie ever--even better than "Empire"--which is a difficult movie to de-throne. Yeah, that's the one. I think I got the link off Thordic's Forums. I thought it might be a little harsh to post here, but I guess not

I will be going to the Midnight showing. Taking my little brother too and he gets to skip school the next day just like I will be calling in sick.

This is the number of the so-called "Star Wars Hotline."
It's actually a pay phone outside of a movie theatre on Hollywood Blvd. in L.A., where Star Wars nerds are already camped out in line waiting for the upcoming movie.
