They're gonna just say you are making stuff up and then make you seem even grosser....trust me, I tried the "fact is worse than my fiction" trick. It backfires, everytime.

Sorta like those chinese w/e fish that can walk on land. People would literally smash them with shovels and the shoot them, and they would KEEP MOVING. It's amazing really. If they were bigger and had teeth, well we'd be jolly well .

Oh wow, thanks for all the info on it. I was starting to get worried that it was some crazy crosbreed or something.

On a side note, I threw a cast net out today and caught this. It's not big by no means for a catfish, but it's damn big for our pond.

If you examine the picture you can see where the tree is is a point into the pond. Meaning the person holding the fish is only about 5ft. away from shore directly to his right. You can tell by the grass, uncut because its on the slope into the pond.

Right. I'm sure the pond's a good amount bigger than what you can see in the pic.

                P.S. Nice fish!

It's a kidney-shaped pond, so that's only about a third of it. It might be small, but what matters is how you use it

I'll have to get a video one day of what it looks like when we throw in a cup of food.

My father said Head Knight was correct. He was also curious as to what state you live in (if I missed that) since they are mostly in Florida.

Now the question is how the hell did that species find it's way into your small pond?

Those "frankenfish" have found their way into some Minnesota lakes and rivers. You know, the state with 10,000+ lakes? Yep, they are pretty much on the verge of raping the entire lake/river/stream ecosystem of Minnesota.

Yup. They are a very serious problem. It's hard to notice their impact at this point but 10-15 years from now there's a good chance that the stocks of "game" fish like largemouth bass and trout will be very negativly effected.

Luckly the little armor-plated catfish isn't going to be too much of a problem.
