Dave Chapell and the mental institution?

Is it true that he signed himself into a mental institution in South Africa?
my mom heard it from a close friend at work, then told me. i cant tell if its a rumor or not.
supposedly he was having trouble dealing with the fact that he was becoming so rich so fast and so famous. i guess it made him feel unstable?

has anybody heard about this?

there was a good article on cnn today about it. He just went to south africa to visit a friend and get away from the hectic business of his life. He said he is worried about his inner circle of friends because they changed a lot after winning his 50 million dollar contract. So no he is not in a mental institution, just chillin with a good friend.

just saw the report on BET, apparently Dave wanted to push back the launch of Season 3 b/c he felt the shows were up to his standards, so dave snapped and went to Africa to try and relax.
