    Check out thedieselplace.com

Some folks have pulled some pretty heavy loads.

I too gona have to recommend a diesel. Better fuel milage, better longevity, better towing capability , and ALOT more FUN.

I say this from experiance as my TOY is my 1994 F250 Diesel.

My truck averages 15mpg in the city but tops at 21mog being nice on the higway. It produces STOCK (ie not anymore bit higher now LOL) 200hp 400lbs.tq at only 1400RPM. The truck may sound like shes low on power but TRUST ME it will PULL ANYTHING you strap to it (includeing the odd school bus Ie. DONT ASK).

Even my truck be as old as it is works great for me. I used it as my daily driver for nearly a year befor getting my VW diesel. It was just as at home in that role as it is towing 13000lbs up a grade 6 hill.

A truck like mine can be had for $10k CDN (low milage GOOD condition) and is good for another 10years or more and more than double the milage.

BUT if your DEAD set on getting a Gasser save your self some hassel and look into an older cheby with the 350 as the 6.0 has had some engein troubles (piston slap). Or if ya dont mind looking at Ford the 5.4 is a great engein.

according to this the ford 5.4l is a candidate for piston slap...as well as the chevy 5.7l
so really the only engines that aren't going to have PS are the ones NOT made in canada and the ford 351.....
I'm set on a "gasser" anyway. I Just can't justify the extra 10,000$ for the 3 mpg that I will save. I don't think I've ever put more then 30k miles on any vehicle I've ever owned.
