"Deep Throat" Revealed?

There's an article on CNN reporting that a previous FBI head has confessed that he was the infamous "Deep Throat" who leaked information about the Watergate affair to reporters Woodward and Bernstein of the Washington Post. Can anyone make heads or tails of this article? I was excited when I saw it since the identity of Woodward's informant has been something I've been thinking about. But I can't understand the outcome of the confession. It seems like the guy retracts then admits it again about 3 times. And then Bernstein comes out and says this guys wasn't Deep Throat. I thought Woodward was the one who met with him? What the hell is going on here? Have they finally found out who Deep Throat is or not? What do y'all think?

Washington Post confirms it, so does Woodward. He revealed some stuff that only the FBI and Deep Throat knew.

Watergate....at the time (maybe still now) Democratic Headquarters that former President Nixon hired some guys (some former CIA) to break into and plant taps. Morons left duct tape on the door so they wouldn't be locked in/out and the night guard saw it and captured them. Plus they took pictures of them doing it. Ironic thing is this had no effect on his election and he would have won even if he didn't hire them to break in.

the problem was, once the accusations surfaced Nixon tried to cover it up. Ultimately it lead to a mistrust of the government and a new president.
