The ps2 controllers are better for the ps2... the pressure sensitivty really helps in games like mgs2...

go with the xbox
I owned a ps2 for a month, pretty much I bought it from best buy for one reason and one reason only. TO BEAT FFX. After playing 65 hours of FFX in less then a week I would say it is one of the best games I have ever played. However, for the long run I would recommend going with the XBOX. Right now the ps2 has better games but if you look at the list for what's coming out for xbox, the future looks bright. PROJECT EGO WILL BE ******* AWESOME!!! Honestly I would recommend doing exactly what I did. Buy a ps2 and beat ffx it is the coolest game I have played in a very long time even though I didn't like the ending. Then, return the ps2. If you buy it from target you got 90 days to use the ps2. What I'm gonna do is buy it from target and keep returning it before 90 days is up. That way I'll never lose any money right? (I know I'm evil but hey, if they want to have lax return policies, I'll take advantage of them because it's all legal
) The games to have for Xbox are:
1.) Halo
2.) Max Payne
3.) NFL 2k2
4.) Bloodwake
5.) Silent Hill2
6.) NHL 2002
New legends is out in less then a week and looking damn good. Genma Onimusha is out on the 30th of Jan, and that looks awesome too. 007 (Agent Under Fire) comes out in Feb, with some new features and supposedly smoother framerate then ps2 version. Then Legacy of Kain comes out in March wwwWWOOOTT... (too bad I spend all my money on paintball or I might be able to afford some of this stuff hehe)....--------------------------------------

Actually. Many of the famous games aren't moving towards the Xbox. I heard there was gonna be a port for Metal Gear Solid 2 though. They're gonna call it Metal Gear Solid X

ya, metal gear solid is going to xbox as metal gear solid x, grand theft auto 3 is moving to xbox and supposedly is going to add a multiplayer feature....the only real reason to keep ps2 is final fantasy 10....and for all you that dislike the xbox controller, when the japanese xbox is released, that controller will be able to be purchased it is identical to the us one except smaller....--------------------------------------

GTA 3 has been pulled off the shelves in washington state and australia....
I can't buy it for xbox.

GTA 3 Multiplayer On X-Box.....I am listening
. That would be the only reason i would buy the X-Box. I can also get games for $10 and the console for $150.
