SC in the 4-5k range there are some good options. Look for a 1280x720 DLP based projector.

Sorry here's a few pics. The first pic is shoddy quality because I had to turn the lights on AND use the flash to get the whole thing to show up right because I took it at night and w/ no flash you couldn't see the outline of the TV right.

The 2nd is just of some random show on DiscoveryHD. There are others that REALLY show off the colors but this was what was on at the time I took the pic.

I'll get more (like of the XBOX and stuff, but it was late and I was too tired...lol.

haha no but I get scared on all the buttons and features I have to play with. Stretching, zooming, a billion input/outputs, etc...lol.

I haven't had a TV before where I could hook up EVERY component I had into the back of it and still have the front connectors to spare...lol.

Normally I have to hook everythign into my reciever (it has video upconverting and all that good stuff) and then run that to the TV. Its annoying to switch between things sometimes. Now I just hit the appropriate button on the remote and whammo.

**back to playing FFX. I still haven't beat it**

What is your sitting distance? We are planning on buying in the near future, and at a max seating distance of 11'(apartment) I am worried it will be too overpowering...

Yeah, you think it's cool now, but just you wait until that watery tart starts crawling out of that damn thing, and she ends up being 8 feet tall.

I'm about 7' back only and its fine.

You'll wanna make sure you a stand that puts the TV at a height so when you sit you're centered w/ the middle of the screen and its fine.

Even at 7' its perfectly fine. I had some eye strain the first few days adapting to the larger screen (this is VERY common for anyone going a big increase in screen size) but since then its been perfect. The screen sits like I'm at a movie theatre so its great.

                        D.

**edit: haha its okay. I copy all my movies so she'll leave me alone :) **
