Any satellite radio experts?

I posted a link to that kind of information. Apparantly the signals will pass through glass without problem... and a vinyl dash, or whatever - it's metal that blocks the signal.

True,
Glass and vinyl does not effect the signal as much as metal but satellites are not always directly above. The signal will still have to deal with the roof of the car most of the time.

Edit: I can't say if it will effect sat. radio but it surely does in GPS surveying situations. The slightest cover will make our GDOP jump to an unacceptable level. But I'm dealing with millimeters not sound quality.

Who the hell is Clear Channel, and why the hell does everybody hate them so? I remember at a Unicorns concert they rambled on about Clear Channel being evil, and everyone was like "wtf mate?".

Clear Channel is a massive media company that owns an obscene percentage of terrestrial radio. They're a driving force behind the format segmentation and programming centralization that has "ruined radio" in the eyes of many.
